Hard drive backups are extremely important when storing data either in a business or at home. We all have important documents, financial information, programs, photos, videos and other files and folders that if were lost tomorrow many of us would be stuck. Lost memories and important information for work and school would have to be redone from scratch not to mention the hassle of reinstalling everything again. A regular backup could save you time and money in the future.
We cannot stress how important backups are, having a minimum of 1 backup per week can save you a phone call to us in the future.
STOP USING THE DRIVE!!!
Sometimes files get deleted or a hard drive becomes corrupted or un-readable and requires formatting before you can use/access it. We offer a data recovery service for most circumstances but the recovery of some files is not always guaranteed. If the drive has been badly damaged the likely hood of recovery diminishes.
If an area of a hard drive becomes damaged/unreadable on a hardware level this usually indicates that the drive is/has expired and will need to be replaced.
Proper maintenance of hard drives is important to increase longevity and reliability of a drive.
Note: If you have deleted or loss data (STOP!) By continuing to use the device the desired files may be overwritten. Remove the device from the computer normally and give us a call.

Memories
If you have old VHS tapes that you would like converted to DVD we can help. We can convert your old tapes to a DVD format and burn them to CD or place the files on a USB or hard drive device. This process takes time, our normal time frame on a single VHS tape just to convert can take up to 48 hours. If you would like restoration done to the tape as well the process will take longer 72 hours and up. Note if the tape has mould or is in poor condition we may refuse to convert it.
Happy and healthy
Keeping your computer clean will result in better performance and longevity of the computer's life. Dust and muck build up leads to overheating which will damage your components if left over long periods of time. We recommend a cleaning every 6 to 12 months to keep things happy and healthy.
